That Christmasy Time Of Year

“Ahhh! I love this Christmasy time of year.” - Sam the Snowman

I think the “ahhh” in that quote adds more of an emphasis 😂 Who else knows where that quote is from? No other than Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, a holiday classic! Sam quoting that at the beginning is honestly one quote that pops in my head numerous of times throughout the holiday season (along with ElfHow The Grinch Stole Christmas, and many more). It’s true, I just love this time of year!

It’s so hard to believe that Christmas only FIVE more sleeps away! If you’re looking for some last minute holiday outfit inspo, I got just the look for you! Right now I’m absolutely loving this plaid mini wrap skirt from Francesca’s for any festive gathering. I got it back a while ago in September around the time all the fall clothes were coming in. This specific one unfortunately is no longer available, but I linked a few very similar ones below! With this skirt, I love pairing it with this mockneck top from Liverpool Jeans, along with my favorite black coat by Sam Edelman and black high-knee boots by Steve Madden. I love pairing it with everything black because it makes more of a statement with the red! Speaking of red, it only makes sense to wear a little bit of red lipstick to get into the festive spirit! For jewelry, I go pretty simple (I typically don’t wear necklaces with a mockneck or turtleneck top, but I’m not opposed to the look of it!), and wear these sophisticated white drusy earrings from Francesca’s, another bit of a statement piece to add a touch of glam to the look. Finally, since it is getting much colder out here in the Midwest, I gotta have my faux leather gloves from Amazon with me at all times! And of course, you can never go wrong with a classic bag by Kate Spade!

Happy (almost) Thanksgiving! I don’t know about y’all, but I’m sure ready for some good holiday food and some wine- hence the pics!

I just got this off-the-shoulder multi-plaid dress from Red Dress not too long ago that I plan on wearing on Thanksgiving Day. Y’all, I am in love with it! It is so darling. Plaid dresses have been a huge style trend this fall, and I especially love how this one is so unique with the design of the neckline! I also love the merlot color tone, and it only made sense to have a glass of Merlot along with it! 🍷😉

The great thing about this dress is that even though it’s more of a fall and winter piece, it’s super versatile. If I had ordered this sooner, I would’ve definitely worn it to a pumpkin patch, apple orchard or any fall festivity, and it would also be super fun to wear to a country concert or music festival! I love how it looks with these big twisted hoops I got from TJ Maxx a long time ago, but it would also look super stylish with a necklace of any kind. When it comes to boots, I definitely love pairing it with my classic black high-knee boots from Steve Madden (another oldie but goodie). Shorter booties would look super cute as well! For casual outings, I would pair it with a floppy hat, particularly this one that I have from Francesca’s!

If you could travel back to any decade, which one would you choose? There’s so many that I would love to see. However, if I had to choose just one, it would definitely be the 1980s! It’s one of the decades that fascinates me and I would love to have experienced myself. I grew up loving the music and movies from that time period, and sometimes even the fashion! Even though the 80s didn’t have the best sense of style, it definitely made an impact on the industry that exists today!

Though I’m pretty positive that most people would rather have certain trends such as poofy perms and shoulder pads stay in the 80s where they belong (my mom included lol), you can’t argue that it was the decade that placed a huge emphasis on style. It brought on color palettes brighter than ever before seen, and dress codes that were way more spunky and even revolutionary. When comparing the 80s the previous decades, it definitely stands out in such a unique and even beautiful way. It allowed a lot of people to express themselves in ways that have never been done through fashion before. There will never been any other time period like 1980-1989! As much as I admire the style icons that exist today, I still have a special place in my heart for the ladies of the 80s like Madonna, Cindy Crawford, Brooke Shields, Princess Diana, and Molly Ringwald!

Interestingly enough, a few fashion trends from the 80s have starting making their way back into last year and this year. Though I’m not very fond of every trend from that time, there’s a few that I thought would make a very cute modern day look, especially now that the crisp and chilly weather for fall is finally here!

I ordered this hot pink slouchy sweatshirt from Nordstrom and few weeks ago and I’m absolutely in love with it. If this doesn’t scream 80s style to you, I don’t know what will! I love the wide neckline and vibrant color, and the balloon sleeves are so cozy for fall. The best part is that it’s so versatile and can be worn with any other bottom pieces including skirts, leggings, biker shorts, etc. It was 40% off when I got it and the deal is still going on, so snag it while ya can! Plus, it also comes in a light beige color if you prefer a more neutral tone!

To create that modern day 80s look that I’m aiming for, I like to pair this top with these high-waisted mom jeans from American Eagle, which were huge back in the day and are making an even bigger comeback in the 21st century! Of course, these hot pink mule heeled sandals from Gap that I got three years ago (oldies but goodies!) finish off the look perfectly. Finally, there of course needs to be some spunky jewelry added to bring on some 80s glam!

Remember last year when I was all about the animal print trend for fall? Welp, I still am one year later!

This leopard print twill jacket is from Francesca’s has been one of my favorite wardrobe staples for this fall. I love chic jackets and animal print, so putting the two together is a dream for me! I’ve definitely been very thankful for the temperature continuing to decrease, that way it gives me an excuse to wear it more often. I especially love pairing it with this short-sleeve black ruched mini dress that’s also from Francesca’s (it’s unfortunately no longer available, but I linked some very similar ones in the widget below!). This is actually one out of three ruched dresses that I own. I also have one in grey and one in tan. I’m just obsessed with them! What I love about them is that they’re perfect for summertime and then wearing them while transitioning to autumn with a cardigan or jacket, like the leopard print one! I will say that since I have curvier hips I kind of get annoyed having to always pull them down, especially after I sit 😂 Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind wearing them every day!

During the summer, I typically like to wear sneakers or sandals with a ruched dress, depending on the occasion. During the fall, I’ll opt out the seasonal summery shoes with booties or high-knee boots, like this pair by Steve Madden! I especially love pairing these boots with this black dress. It just makes the outfit look so spunky, as well as the jacket. I’ve had these boots for three years now and they’re still one of my favorite shoes in my closet. Don’t worry though, I linked some similar ones down below as well!

And of course, like all of my other outfits, this one isn’t complete without some jewelry! What’s pictured: my favorite chunky gold hoops from REVOLVE, a layered cross necklace from Francesca’s, a gold cuff bracelet in black opaque glass from Kendra Scott, and a ring set from Altar’d State. Finally, an oldie but goodie … this cheetah print crossbody bag from American Eagle as an extra accessory to finish off the look!

What to Wear to a Fall Wedding

In my opinion, fall is the perfect season for weddings. The crisp and mild weather makes it easy to wear practically anything, and the colors are just absolutely stunning. For bouquets, bridesmaid and groomsmen outfits, table settings, the aisle and altar, and so much more. Not to mention fall is my favorite season, so it makes sense as to why I love weddings during this time of year the most!

While there’s a lot of fun and vibrant choices of styles for spring and summer weddings, I feel like autumn offers a lot more unique ideas. It’s more appropriate to wear darker colors and metallic accents if that’s more of your style. With the beautiful shades of leaves and decor in the background, you are bound to look ravishing! Now that fall is finally here and that there are a lot of weddings currently taking place after being put on hold due to the pandemic, I thought I share a few of my favorite ideas for outfits to wear!

For the wedding I was in last month for my best friend Katie, me and all the bridesmaids wore dresses from an online shop called Revelry, known for their variety of bohemian style dresses! Pictured above: mine is a velvet off-the-shoulder in romantic rose and and Amanda’s (bridesmaid on the right) is a velvet v-neck in terracotta. I certainly will be re-wearing this in the future for occasions that call for it!

What's Trending This Fall

Hey, y’all! Happy first day of fall!

Although I’m a little bummed that summer is over, I’m also so excited because fall is my absolute favorite season! It’s still sunny and pretty hot in Ohio, but I’m eager for the leaves to turn into beautiful colors from autumn’s palette, as well as visit pumpkin patches, drink hot apple cider, sit by bonfires in cozy attire, and so much more. I could care less if that makes me sound basic 😂 Fall is just a wonderful part of the year, and reminds me that change can be beautiful!

I will also add that fall is most definitely the best fashion season. It’s that perfect time of year where the temperature is in between hot and cold, which means there are more options when it comes to styling. And as the big fashion guru I am, I’m always on the lookout every year to see what the latest trends are for each season, especially fall in particular. Well, I’m happy to report that there are quite some exciting and chic styles for this year’s season!

With that being said, here are some of the current fashion trends that are making it big for fall 2021!

Saying Goodbye to Summer (For Now)

Hey, loves! Happy Tuesday 😊

It’s hard to believe that summer is coming to an end, it feels like it flew by way too fast! However, I am very excited for fall as it’s my favorite season! I’m definitely ready for the weather become more crisp and the temperature to drop, as well as to wear my favorite sweaters, drink hot apple cider at night before bed, and to just enjoy all the beautiful things about the season!

I’m not gonna lie to y’all, this past summer has been kind of rough. It’s just been insanely busy working two part-time jobs and moving out of my apartment in Kent. Pretty much just nonstop busyness all the time, and I haven’t really had enough time to work on my blog lately which definitely has been kind of challenging. However, I’m doing my best not to be too hard on myself about it. Life happens and gets things hectic, but God is in control always. Besides, I still had a fun and relaxing summer despite all the busyness and crasiness!

I did have a lot of new outfits that I wore a lot this summer, as well as a lot of cool new products I tried out. Even though I didn’t have enough time to put together a lot of posts as I hoped, I thought making one with a widget of all my favorite fashion pieces and products would be a good way to wrap up the season. And like many of my other posts, just click on the image any item that interests you and it will re-direct you to the site of the shop. I do receive some commission for each purchase made (at no extra cost to you!) when you shop through the links, which helps me keep doing these kinds of posts 💕 So, if possible, please shop using my links!

This belted one piece pictured above is from Amazon for and was $22. It was my favorite go-to bathing suit from this summer, it’s absolutely chic and glam for any beach day or pool day! I was a little worried it was gonna be too low-cut, but it’s actually a perfect combo of classy and sexy! I also found this super cute beach straw hat from Target that looks so chic and fun paired with the swimsuit. Finally, a crochet coverup from Walmart and blue circle drop earrings (which I found for $5 on clearance at Target!) to add even more glam. This is no doubt my favorite looks from this summer! All it needs is a frozen margarita or glass of cold Chardonnay for twice the contentment ✨

Hometown Date Outfit

Happy Friday, loves!

Is anybody else currently watching The Bachelorette with Katie? I am, but I don’t even like these shows 😂 The only reason I watch it is because my friends love it, and I only watch it because I love them! I will say even though I don’t necessarily get into it, I do enjoy seeing the glamorous and chic outfits that the women wear for the rose ceremonies, cocktail parties, group dates, one-on-one’s, and especially hometown dates. I like watching that part in particular because it gives me a lot of inspiration for casual yet cute style ideas, whether I’m going on an actual date or out with friends! Since this week was Hometown Visit Week, I do have a fun outfit that I’m eager to share with y’all, which also makes the perfect look for any summertime occasion!

This black ruffle strap bodysuit from Francesca’s (also comes in ivory, lavender, white, and tortoise) has been one of my top favorite go-to’s this summer. It’s extremely versatile and looks great with jeans, skirts, and shorts. I typically love pairing it with these high-waisted mom jeans from American Eagle and platform strap sandals by Birkenstock, which makes the overall outfit look very breezy and chic. However, if I were to be a contestant on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette and have the opportunity to make it to Hometown Visit Week, I would also consider pairing it with a denim skirt and mule heels to make it a little more dressy (since I would most likely be filmed for national television, lol). Either way, it looks super chic and breezy! To top off the look, I like to wear gold jewelry as always, including my favorite gold hoops from REVOLVE (I’m also loving these vibrant circle drop earrings from Target for summertime, now only $6.79 on clearance!), gold layered cross necklace from Francesca’s, gold bangle bracelet from J. Crew, and gold ring set from Altar’d State. A floppy hat would also look super cute with the outfit as well, especially on a hot day!

If I WERE to be a contestant on the show, here’s a few local places in NE Ohio that I would take my potential future husband:

Are any of y’all a fan of The Bachelor and/or The Bachelorette? Is there anyone else who’s not a fan like me? 🤣 Comment below and share!

On a super random side note (since we’re on the subject of TV), I’ve finally caught up with all the new Marvel shows on Disney Plus and just finished Loki a few weeks ago! Y’all, it is AMAZING, and you have to watch it if you’re a Marvel fan like me. I’m definitely planning on re-watching it! I have such a huge crush on Tom Hiddleston, he is extremely charming and dreamy 😍 Comment below if you’ve watched Loki, or WandaVision or Falcon and the Winter Solider as well!

The Comfiest Linen Culottes

Happy Saturday, loves! Who’s happy it’s the weekend?! I know I sure am!

For the longest time I’ve been dreaming of having my own pair of linen culottes like these. I see them all over Pinterest and they just have such a nice style and texture. I finally found a pair at Francesca’s and they’re AMAZING! I wasn’t originally planning on buying them at first, but then one day I decided to try it on and now I wear it at least once or twice a week! I’ve also gotten a lot of compliments on them, they’re just so versatile and great for summertime! The only thing I don’t like is how easily they wrinkle if folded, but nothing a little steaming can’t fix!

My go-way of styling these pants are with this black crewneck tank top from Target with some gold jewelry and these sport sandals by Birkenstock. With these pants, it makes the perfect head-to-toe minimalistic outfit for summer!

How do y’all feel about linen pants? Comment below and share your thoughts!
