What's Trending This Fall

Hey, y’all! Happy first day of fall!

Although I’m a little bummed that summer is over, I’m also so excited because fall is my absolute favorite season! It’s still sunny and pretty hot in Ohio, but I’m eager for the leaves to turn into beautiful colors from autumn’s palette, as well as visit pumpkin patches, drink hot apple cider, sit by bonfires in cozy attire, and so much more. I could care less if that makes me sound basic 😂 Fall is just a wonderful part of the year, and reminds me that change can be beautiful!

I will also add that fall is most definitely the best fashion season. It’s that perfect time of year where the temperature is in between hot and cold, which means there are more options when it comes to styling. And as the big fashion guru I am, I’m always on the lookout every year to see what the latest trends are for each season, especially fall in particular. Well, I’m happy to report that there are quite some exciting and chic styles for this year’s season!

With that being said, here are some of the current fashion trends that are making it big for fall 2021!

How I would style them: With long-sleeve blouse with a pair of jeans and a cute pair of boots or booties, or a short dress with a cute pair of boots or booties

How I would style them: A tank or crop top, high-waisted jeans, a pair of boots or booties, and a floppy hat or baseball cap

How I would style them: With a sweater or lightweight top (paired with a jacket or cardigan if it’s more chilly outside), along with a pair of booties or sneakers and a floppy hat or baseball cap

How I would style them: Pretty much with any kind of outfit, as long as the colors match and don’t clash!

How I would style them: With a belt (depending on the material and fit of the dress), high-knee boots, and a lightweight scarf or a floppy hat

How I would style them: With any simple top and a pair of jeans, leggings, or a skirt, along with a floppy hat to top off the Western glam style!

Cute Outfit Idea for Thanksgiving

IMG_4980.jpeg

Hey, y’all! Happy Friday!

Thanksgiving is only a little over a month away, and I’m already daydreaming about eating some yummy stuffing balls and pumpkin pie 😋Although I’m trying to not rush into it, especially because I’m enjoying how beautiful fall is here in Ohio right now! But if you’re looking some fashion inspo for the upcoming turkey-eating holiday that’s not just a simple dress with heels and tights, you came to the right place my friend!

I bought this rusty mauve cardigan from Francesca’s this summer originally to wear as sort of a coverup for the beach when I went to Isle of Palms, SC. But when I wore it to go to work one day with a black maxi dress, I became obsessed with how it looked and realized I could wear it with so many different outfits rather than a bathing suit! It’s also super soft and cozy, which is very essential for fall fashion! I bought this pearl satin twist headband at Anthropologie last year on Black Friday (typically most of their headbands cost around $14-$24 or more at full price). As soon as I saw it, it just screamed fall! And the rusty mauve satin matches perfectly with the kimono, which is a win-win. With these two pieces I like to pair with my black crewneck tank top from Target (only $8.00!), my denim skirt from Madewell, and black high knee heeled suede boots (which I think were from DSW, but a lot of retailers thankfully have shoes like these). With this look, you got the perfect autumn outfit that’s very fitting for a Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving gathering!

One fashion item that would be a super cute and stylish addition to this look would be pantyhose! I got to be real for a hot second though, I DESPISE pantyhose. As good as they look would a lot of outfits with skirts and dresses, I can’t stand wearing them! No matter how cold it is outside, I would much rather have my legs be a tad more chilly than wear pantyhose 🤣 If you’re the complete opposite and actually don’t mind wearing them or if it’s unbearably more cold outside in November (which is usually the case in Ohio), then absolutely go for it!

Who else is excited for Thanksgiving? Comment below and share, as well as your favorite food to eat during the holiday! I want to know!
