Fashion Favs from Fall 2022

Happy Thursday, y’all! I know I’m not the only one who’s ready for the weekend! Coming back into a routine after a holiday break is always a challenge 😂 I love Thanksgiving, but the short break we get from it is almost a bit of a tease right before Christmas!

Speaking of Christmas, it’s hard to believe that the 25 day countdown to the holiday has officially begun! It’s weird because even though I previously stated that we had a lot more fall in Ohio than the last few years, it still felt like it flew by fast! Though I’m definitely a Christmas lovin’ gal at heart, it is a little bittersweet saying goodbye to my favorite season! Especially since I know right after December there’s gonna be three long months of winter 😅

Since autumn is wrapping up and there’s a lot of good sales going on (great for holiday shopping especially!), I thought that I would share a collection of some of my fall fashion favorites from this year!

Do y’all have any fall fashion favorites from this year? Comment below and share with me!

Transitional Summer-to-Fall Dress

I’m in a weird mental spot where I’m not ready for summer to end, but I’m also very stoked that fall is less than a month away 😅 Even though the end of summer is always bittersweet, it’s nice to know my favorite season comes right after! Then even after fall is over, I have Christmas too look forward to! Then, I’m ready to skip over winter and arrive in springtime 😂

The nice thing about transitioning from summer to fall is that it’s not to drastic of a change weather-wise, so it doesn’t require too much of a wardrobe revamp. In fact, it’s great because you have more style options when it comes to layers and accessories!

If you know me well enough, you love a love a good dress. I practically live in dresses all year-round, even during the winter months! I just recently got this red floral button midi dress from Stitch Fix (originally from AVLN Studio, and I’ll link similar dresses below!). I’ve already worn it to church, this photoshoot with Katie Mae Photography (the evidence is above, lol), and I’m planning on wearing it to my sister’s baby shower later next month. For church and the shower, I wear it with sandal heels, but for the photoshoot I opted out for a casual pair of white sneakers from Vionic Shoes. And of course, none of my outfits aren’t complete without some gold jewelry! This dress is very versatile for both casual and special occasions, and it will be perfect for summer cookouts all the way to harvest festivals in the fall!

What are y’all’s thoughts on floral dresses? Comment below and share your opinion!

Outfits I Wore at Disney World

I love practically everything about planning a Disney trip! Okay, maybe not how expensive it is, but everything else minus that 😂 One thing in particular is planning what outfits I’m gonna wear to each park and resort, and I thought it would be fun to share what looks I wore for my latest trip to the Florida park. These are also all great ideas for summertime if you’re looking for some new outfits to add to your shopping carts!

Magic Kingdom

I got this pink skirt from Francesca’s at the end of last summer and have been waiting for an excuse to finally wear it, and Magic Kingdom was the perfect place to do so! It also looks incredibly chic and fun with this Disney Princess t-shirt I found at Target. I love how vintage and delicate it is, and it has a majority of my favorite princesses on it!

Disney Springs

I previously talked about this jumpsuit from Red Dress, and I still stand by everything I said about it. I love it so much! It’s such a stylish and comfy summer outfit, and it was just perfect for Disney Springs!

Animal Kingdom

I’m freaking obsessed with this skort dress from Aerie! I’ve had my eye on this kind of outfit for a while, and I’m so glad I waited till right before my Disney trip to get it. It was absolutely perfect for Animal Kingdom, especially paired with my new bucket hat (which is reversible!). It gives off all the safari style vibes!

3 Ways to Style a Shacket

Any shacket lovers out there? I’m a little late to the bandwagon, but better late than never! It took me so long that my dad actually beat me to it 🤣

I recently got this French terry shirt jacket from Red Dress for Christmas that I’ve been wearing all throughout winter, and most certainly will be wearing it again all throughout next fall and winter. They’ve sold out super fast in every size but there is still one left in a large, and there’s also a very similar one that Red Dress just released! Not only is it great for the colder seasons but also perfect for transitioning into springtime weather! Since shackets (just a cooler way to say “shirt jacket” 😁) are super trendy in the fashion world at the moment, I thought I would share a few of my three favorite ways to style mine.

Aside from this post, I also shared a fun reel on Instagram with music on how to style this particular shacket as well!

Faux Leather chic

When I first got this shacket and thinking about how I was going to style it, faux leather leggings was the first thing that popped in my head! I’ve had this pair for over three years, but I definitely live in them pretty much every single winter season. I love pairing these pieces with this knit crop top (another oldie but goodie from Knot Sisters!), along with this gold chain link necklace from Altar’d State and gold multi-hoop earrings from Francesca’s for a touch of spunk. I also got this pair of white boots by Marc Fisher for Christmas, and they match PERFECTLY with this whole look! They certainly were made to pair with the shacket!

90s Meets Present Day

Everything about this look definitely gives me 90s vibes. The cropped mock neck top from Francesca’s, mom jeans from American Eagle, chunky black howler boots from Steve Madden, gold chunky hoop earrings from REVOLVE (which I like to call my Princess Jasmine earrings 🥰), hair jaw clips from Amazon and an oversized jacket, of course (or shacket in this case!). I was actually inspired by one of the outfits that Tyra Banks’s character wore in an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I love this outfit idea because it’s so timeless and fits into the trends that are currently relevant. Some things from the past just never go out of style!

Dressin’ Up

I just recently ordered this sweatshirt dress from Red Dress and it fit even better than I was anticipating! I’m just eagerly waiting till it gets warmer outside so I can wear it more often lol. However, pairing it with the shacket makes a casual but dressy look for a fun winter outfit, especially with black high-knee boots and gold jewelry. This is a great outfit to wear to Sunday church service! I also think this outfit will be perfect to wear in the fall with a floppy hat, but I don’t want to think to far ahead because I want to enjoy spring and summer first 😂

The dress is actually only $18 right now and having its final sale, so make sure to snag it while you can if you really want it!

What's Trending This Fall

Hey, y’all! Happy first day of fall!

Although I’m a little bummed that summer is over, I’m also so excited because fall is my absolute favorite season! It’s still sunny and pretty hot in Ohio, but I’m eager for the leaves to turn into beautiful colors from autumn’s palette, as well as visit pumpkin patches, drink hot apple cider, sit by bonfires in cozy attire, and so much more. I could care less if that makes me sound basic 😂 Fall is just a wonderful part of the year, and reminds me that change can be beautiful!

I will also add that fall is most definitely the best fashion season. It’s that perfect time of year where the temperature is in between hot and cold, which means there are more options when it comes to styling. And as the big fashion guru I am, I’m always on the lookout every year to see what the latest trends are for each season, especially fall in particular. Well, I’m happy to report that there are quite some exciting and chic styles for this year’s season!

With that being said, here are some of the current fashion trends that are making it big for fall 2021!

Saying Goodbye to Summer (For Now)

Hey, loves! Happy Tuesday 😊

It’s hard to believe that summer is coming to an end, it feels like it flew by way too fast! However, I am very excited for fall as it’s my favorite season! I’m definitely ready for the weather become more crisp and the temperature to drop, as well as to wear my favorite sweaters, drink hot apple cider at night before bed, and to just enjoy all the beautiful things about the season!

I’m not gonna lie to y’all, this past summer has been kind of rough. It’s just been insanely busy working two part-time jobs and moving out of my apartment in Kent. Pretty much just nonstop busyness all the time, and I haven’t really had enough time to work on my blog lately which definitely has been kind of challenging. However, I’m doing my best not to be too hard on myself about it. Life happens and gets things hectic, but God is in control always. Besides, I still had a fun and relaxing summer despite all the busyness and crasiness!

I did have a lot of new outfits that I wore a lot this summer, as well as a lot of cool new products I tried out. Even though I didn’t have enough time to put together a lot of posts as I hoped, I thought making one with a widget of all my favorite fashion pieces and products would be a good way to wrap up the season. And like many of my other posts, just click on the image any item that interests you and it will re-direct you to the site of the shop. I do receive some commission for each purchase made (at no extra cost to you!) when you shop through the links, which helps me keep doing these kinds of posts 💕 So, if possible, please shop using my links!

This belted one piece pictured above is from Amazon for and was $22. It was my favorite go-to bathing suit from this summer, it’s absolutely chic and glam for any beach day or pool day! I was a little worried it was gonna be too low-cut, but it’s actually a perfect combo of classy and sexy! I also found this super cute beach straw hat from Target that looks so chic and fun paired with the swimsuit. Finally, a crochet coverup from Walmart and blue circle drop earrings (which I found for $5 on clearance at Target!) to add even more glam. This is no doubt my favorite looks from this summer! All it needs is a frozen margarita or glass of cold Chardonnay for twice the contentment ✨

Dreaming of Summer

Okay y’all, I have to confess something on here that I’ve been meaning to share for a while now … I’m OBSESSED with the new iced guava passionfruit drink at Starbucks! It literally tastes so freaking good! I found out about it through one of my favorite bloggers Caitlin Covington when she posted about it on her story, and of course when your favorite bloggers and influencers post something they make it look twice as good! I normally don’t indulge in the fruity drinks at Starbs, but this one actually impressed me! Normally I get coffee from there (grande iced skinny vanilla latte to be more specific lol), but if I’ve already had my coffee that morning and need a Starbucks pick-me up, you can bet the guava passionfruit is the one I’m going for!

Who else is ready for summer to just arrive already?! I’ve been eagerly waiting since Christmas was over! I’m just so ready to have temperature in the high 70s and low 80s, radiant sunshine, days spent at the lake (Midwest summer things all the way!), trips to the farmers’ market, blasting country music with the windows down in the car, eating ice cream on a hot day, and so much more! My sister and her hubby are actually back in Ohio, and I couldn’t be more excited to spend the sunny season hanging out with them 💕I just know this summer is gonna be a darn good one!

This ruched mini dress that I’m wearing in this post is from Francesca’s. It’s SO comfy! It’s a very versatile summer piece and is great to wear for any occasion, whether for a get-together with your favorite people or even while running errands! You can dress it up or down, as it looks super cute with sneakers, sandals, heels, and boots. If you haven’t washed your hair in a few days like I normally do, throw on a baseball cap or floppy! I love the variety of ways it can be styled! I wore this Levi’s light wash denim jacket I got from Anthropologie a few months ago for taking these pictures because it was actually pretty cold outside that day. It did NOT feel like summer whatsoever! 🤣 I will say that a denim jacket does look super chic with this kind of dress, as well as other jackets and cardigans, so keep those in your wardrobe for the chillier days!

Has anyone tried Starbucks’s iced guava passionfruit drink? Comment below what you think about it or what your current favorite beverage from there is at the moment!

This post’s photos were taken by the one and only Katie Mae Sullivan 💕 By the way, if any of y’all live in Northeast Ohio and want things to do in Cleveland, you HAVE to check out the Cleveland Cultural Gardens! It’s located in the same area of the Cleveland Art Museum and it is absolutely stunning. It is a great place to walk around and observe, as well as get some cute photos for your Insta! It was unfortunately pretty chilly outside when we went, so I’ll definitely be coming back this summer when it’s sunny and 75! And when I’m not wearing heeled shoes of course 😂

Have a blessed day, y’all!

Yours Truly,

Caroline, XOXO

Outfits I Wore In Florida

Hey, y’all! Here’s a post dedicated to some outfits I wore during my recent trip to Fort Myers, FL. I love all of these, they’re perfect for vacay and warmer weather! Some of the pieces I wore are no longer available, but I managed to find some similar ones and link those! I found most of my outfits at my favorite stores to shop at: Francesca’s, Altar’d State, Target, and Amazon. I hope these give you some fashion inspo for summer and any upcoming trips!

Outfit #1: Sunset State of Mind

IMG_0627.jpeg

I literally bought this outfit from Francesca’s exactly one day before we left for our trip! 🤣 No joke, we got this skirt and tank top in shipment a week prior and I just couldn’t stop thinking about how cute the two pieces would look together, especially on vacay! They’re both ribbed, the colors look great together, and it’s definitely comfortable and versatile for warmer weather. To add a little more glam to the summery look, I like to wear my favorite big gold hoop earrings from REVOLVE, chain link necklace from Altar’d State, rings from Altar’d State, and a big gold bangle bracelet from J. Crew. We took some pictures on the beach during the sunset on our third night and I’m so happy with how the outfit looked for it! To be honest, any outfit looks great with a sunset in the background 💕 For shoes while not on the beach, I wore these white croc mule heels I’ve had since last summer and I still love them to this day. They’re only $11.11 right now!

Outfit #2: Out of Office

Gotta have more than one beach outfit of course! The “Do Not Disturb” floppy hat was a great find and perfect for a beach vacation. I actually found this hat at Village Discount Outlet and got a great deal for only $3.00! For a chic and fun hat like this, it’s most definitely worth splurging! I also found this sheer wrap bottom cover-up on Amazon for swimsuits, which I wore to the beach practically every day. It has great quality for a great price, and it’s so chic. It’s easy to tie and adjust, and it can be worn as a cover-up for both the bottom suit and the top! As for the swimsuit, I brought a few different but wore this mesh striped one-piece from Target quite a few times. I’ve actually had this for almost five years now and it’s still in really good shape, and Target actually has a few that look exactly the same that I linked them in the widget below! And of course, no trip to the beach is complete without a pair of Ray Ban sunnies 😎

Outfit #3: Under the Palm trees

IMG_0738.jpeg

Once again, another sunset pic on the beach 😂 There’s honestly nothing better, beaches and sunsets always make good photo ops! I love this particular outfit, especially for spring or summer vacations. It’s so boho and has a beachy elegance to it. I’ve had this LOFT maxi dress since last year when I got it during their big summer sale, and it’s one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe! I love to pair it with this mauve kimono shawl from Francesca’s to add a little color and chicness to it. This is such a fun outfit for the beach, as well as church and other special outings! I kinda low-key feel like a princess wearing it lol!

Hey, y’all! It’s hard to believe the first day of spring is just two days away! Who’s ready? I certainly am!

I recently re-watched The Wizard of Oz, one of my favorite movies, for the first time in a long while and it was like re-living my childhood again! To this day, that movie still brings me so much joy (despite how much the Wicked Witch of the West and flying monkeys used to scare me as a kid lol). My favorite part is when it starts off in black and white, but then changes to Technicolor as soon as Dorothy and Toto arrive in Oz. In the 1930’s, seeing color in motion pictures was a pretty big deal, especially for a big movie like that! I can just imagine during that time when it first came out and seeing everybody’s reaction to the vibrant tones on the screen. That’s something I would’ve loved to been a part of and experience myself! The scene honestly reminds me of how it feels when springtime finally comes along. After a long, dreary and gloomy winter, there’s nothing more beautiful than seeing green leaves grow from trees, vibrant flowers spruce up from the ground and sunshine beaming down on the Earth. It truly feels like walking into a land somewhere over the rainbow! The movie also gave me the inspiration to call this post “If I Only Had Springtime”, just like the songs that the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion sing about the things they long for, and I’m longing for spring to finally come!

I will say, the weather we’ve been getting here in Ohio lately has been AMAZING. Since the end of February, we’ve been getting a lot of days full of sunshine and above 40 degrees in temperature. I actually just saw some little purple crocuses blooming in my parents’ backyard during a recent visit, and it absolutely filled me with so much joy and gratitude! Although I still feel like we haven’t seen the last of winter just yet (the beauty of living in the Midwest lol), I’m definitely not complaining with what were getting right now!

I got this cobalt blue floral dress from Francesca’s towards the end of February, and I think it’s the absolute perfect dress for springtime. When it first arrived in shipment, it honestly reminded me of Dorothy Gale! If The Wizard of Oz took place in 2021, I think she would totally wear this dress and rock it! Unfortunately, unlike Dorothy, I don’t have the money to afford a pair of ruby slippers nor the help from Glinda to gain them 🤣However, I do have these white croc heeled mules I bought last summer from Nasty Gal, and they match perfectly with the dress! And since it’s only March and still a tad bit cold here in Ohio (and I’m sure it is in Kansas as well!), I have this ivory knitted cardigan from Anthropologie to go with the outfit and keep me warm!

As far as jewelry goes, I like to keep it pretty simple with this particular outfit. I’ve had these double hoop earrings from Altar’d State for almost a whole year now and I love them. They’re very simple yet chic and make it look like I have a double piercing! I’m also wearing this bar pendant necklace from Francesca’s (unfortunately no longer in stock, but here’s a similar one!), a Kendra Scott gold cuff bracelet, and an adjustable crystal bar bracelet from Grit & Grace Studio.

I actually wore this exact look for my younger cousin’s confirmation, which I attended as her sponsor. It’s such a delicate and comfy outfit. I will certainly be wearing it a lot for work, Easter, spring, and summer occasions coming up!

My sweet roomie and bestie Katie Sullivan took these pictures during a beautiful day at John Brown Tannery Brown (one of my favorite places in all of Kent), and it was an absolute blast to bring this springtime vision to life! Her photography skills are amazing, y’all. Be sure to check out her Instagram account for more of her photography and business inquires!
