Fashion Favs from Fall 2022

Happy Thursday, y’all! I know I’m not the only one who’s ready for the weekend! Coming back into a routine after a holiday break is always a challenge 😂 I love Thanksgiving, but the short break we get from it is almost a bit of a tease right before Christmas!

Speaking of Christmas, it’s hard to believe that the 25 day countdown to the holiday has officially begun! It’s weird because even though I previously stated that we had a lot more fall in Ohio than the last few years, it still felt like it flew by fast! Though I’m definitely a Christmas lovin’ gal at heart, it is a little bittersweet saying goodbye to my favorite season! Especially since I know right after December there’s gonna be three long months of winter 😅

Since autumn is wrapping up and there’s a lot of good sales going on (great for holiday shopping especially!), I thought that I would share a collection of some of my fall fashion favorites from this year!

Do y’all have any fall fashion favorites from this year? Comment below and share with me!

Hi, darlings! It’s been a hot sec, how are y’all?? I was really soaking in the beauty of fall and harvest season the last few months!

I know there’s only a couple weeks of fall left and the holiday season is officially in full swing, but I thought better late than never to post a fall fashion-inspired post. It’s weird to say this, but it’s the first time in years that it actually felt like fall! Does anyone else feel that way? That last couple years (at least in Ohio), it would stay hot and humid till late October, then we get fall for one brief week and immediately it goes right to winter. But this year it came early, and everything about it was so perfect. Anytime I went out for a drive I would always see tons of leaves falling down from colorful trees, and it was absolutely stunning to see. I was actually feeling nostalgic and reminisced on memories of the season growing up!

I have tons of other outfits I’ve taken pics of but have been behind on sharing, but a lot of them are posted on Instagram! This featured dress is an oldie but goodie from Altar’d State. I love the stunning rust color and how it’s asymmetrical at the bottom, it’s so unique and boho! It especially looks glamorous with these off-white booties (made by MIA Shoes, but I actually ordered them through Freestyle on Stitch Fix!). I also included a classic denim jacket that’s perfect for the crisp weather, then topped off the ensemble with some gold jewelry like always. I felt like Carrie Underwood or Kelsea Ballerini in a music video, it was such fun outfit to shoot!

Speaking of shoot (photoshoot that is, of course 😂), I can’t end this post without giving a shoutout to my darling friend Katie Rios for taking these pictures for me. She’s been growing her freelance photography business and I could not be more proud of her! I just love how her style is so stunning and authentic. She really made me feel like I was taking pictures for a country music album during this photoshoot! 🥰 If anyone is in need of portraits, engagement photos, maternity photos, etc., y’all should definitely check Katie out. Check out her Instagram account and message her to book!

What to Wear to a Fall Wedding

In my opinion, fall is the perfect season for weddings. The crisp and mild weather makes it easy to wear practically anything, and the colors are just absolutely stunning. For bouquets, bridesmaid and groomsmen outfits, table settings, the aisle and altar, and so much more. Not to mention fall is my favorite season, so it makes sense as to why I love weddings during this time of year the most!

While there’s a lot of fun and vibrant choices of styles for spring and summer weddings, I feel like autumn offers a lot more unique ideas. It’s more appropriate to wear darker colors and metallic accents if that’s more of your style. With the beautiful shades of leaves and decor in the background, you are bound to look ravishing! Now that fall is finally here and that there are a lot of weddings currently taking place after being put on hold due to the pandemic, I thought I share a few of my favorite ideas for outfits to wear!

For the wedding I was in last month for my best friend Katie, me and all the bridesmaids wore dresses from an online shop called Revelry, known for their variety of bohemian style dresses! Pictured above: mine is a velvet off-the-shoulder in romantic rose and and Amanda’s (bridesmaid on the right) is a velvet v-neck in terracotta. I certainly will be re-wearing this in the future for occasions that call for it!

Cute Outfit Idea for Thanksgiving

IMG_4980.jpeg

Hey, y’all! Happy Friday!

Thanksgiving is only a little over a month away, and I’m already daydreaming about eating some yummy stuffing balls and pumpkin pie 😋Although I’m trying to not rush into it, especially because I’m enjoying how beautiful fall is here in Ohio right now! But if you’re looking some fashion inspo for the upcoming turkey-eating holiday that’s not just a simple dress with heels and tights, you came to the right place my friend!

I bought this rusty mauve cardigan from Francesca’s this summer originally to wear as sort of a coverup for the beach when I went to Isle of Palms, SC. But when I wore it to go to work one day with a black maxi dress, I became obsessed with how it looked and realized I could wear it with so many different outfits rather than a bathing suit! It’s also super soft and cozy, which is very essential for fall fashion! I bought this pearl satin twist headband at Anthropologie last year on Black Friday (typically most of their headbands cost around $14-$24 or more at full price). As soon as I saw it, it just screamed fall! And the rusty mauve satin matches perfectly with the kimono, which is a win-win. With these two pieces I like to pair with my black crewneck tank top from Target (only $8.00!), my denim skirt from Madewell, and black high knee heeled suede boots (which I think were from DSW, but a lot of retailers thankfully have shoes like these). With this look, you got the perfect autumn outfit that’s very fitting for a Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving gathering!

One fashion item that would be a super cute and stylish addition to this look would be pantyhose! I got to be real for a hot second though, I DESPISE pantyhose. As good as they look would a lot of outfits with skirts and dresses, I can’t stand wearing them! No matter how cold it is outside, I would much rather have my legs be a tad more chilly than wear pantyhose 🤣 If you’re the complete opposite and actually don’t mind wearing them or if it’s unbearably more cold outside in November (which is usually the case in Ohio), then absolutely go for it!

Who else is excited for Thanksgiving? Comment below and share, as well as your favorite food to eat during the holiday! I want to know!
