Hey, y’all! This week is Children’s Book Week, so I’m sharing a few of my latest kids’ literature reads. These are all great reads for the children in your life this spring and summer, and they also make great gift ideas for upcoming baby showers, birthday parties or just to show them how much they mean to you!
Tomorrow is April 2nd, which is International Children’s Book Day! Some of you, if not most, may not already know, but my aspiring dream is to become a children’s book author one dream- and I have full faith that Jesus is going to see that through for His glory!
In honor of the national holiday (don’t try to argue with me, it’s an official holiday!), I wanted to share some favorite children’s book finds for springtime. I hope these give you some fun Easter basket ideas or just fun, spontaneous gift for the beloved children in your life!
Hello, spring! Now that the season is in full bloom, I thought I would share this fun veggie board idea to add some creativity to your upcoming gatherings this season!
What you’ll need:
2 yellow and red bell peppers
1 bag of sugar snap peas
Hummus (or any veggie dip that you and/or your guests like!)
A medium-large charcuterie board/tray
2 mini dip bowls (here’s a link to the ones featured in the picture!)
Bonus Idea: If you want an additional flower, use baby carrots as the petals to add more color and vibrance to the board! I would’ve done it if I had a bigger board, but I certainly will when I get one one day!)
Hey, y’all! It’s November 1st, and I’m officially in the Christmas spirit!
Okay, a little bit. I do want to enjoy more of autumn before all the leaves and it gets too cold, but knowing that my favorite holiday is just around the corner makes me so joyful! I’m sure many of you including myself are already researching and looking for gift ideas for our loved ones. But, is anyone else already looking at wrapping paper options or is it just me? I think that finding a fun Christmas-themed paper to wrap gifts in is part of the fun of giving someone you love a present!

Y’all, in two days is officially the first day of SUMMER! 😎☀️🌴🏖️
My mind can’t wrap around the fact and we’re almost halfway through the year when it feels like it just started, but I’m not complaining because summertime might be my favorite time period during the year! Nothing makes me happier than when it’s sunnier out and the days are longer, along with all the fresh produce sold at farmers’ markets, road trips with the windows rolled down and country music blasting on Spotify, outdoor cookout/bonfire gatherings with family and friends, and so much more!
There’s so many things I love about the summer season, yet nothing beats a good day spent at the beach or pool. I may not live close to a beautiful beach like in Florida or California, but Lake Erie keeps me just as content- as well as tan if I soak up enough Vitamin D! I have so many pool/beach outings coming up this summer, and I got tons of essentials in my bag that I’ll be using for each one. LOTS of sunscreen to protect the skin, a cutie sprinkled donut pool float I’ve had since college (and it never fails to make water floating ten times better!), and my current summer read which is Create a Life You Love: How to quiet outside voices so you can finally hear your own by Stephanie May Wilson (it’s also available on Spotify and Audible if you don’t have time to read!). Hey, y’all! I just recently celebrated my 28th birthday with a little bit of inner child healing and combined with pixie dust ✨ As cliche as it sounds (especially being a “Disney adult” 😂), it truly was a magical occasion! So many of my closest girlfriends came to celebrate with me, and it made me feel so grateful! My heart is still full from all the love from that day 🥹❤️
Of course while it was still busy planning a party with a theme, it honestly wasn’t too complicated and I managed to stay somewhat within budget. Throwing a theme party or even a casual party doesn’t have to be perfect, it’s all about having fun and spending quality time with the people in your inner circles!
Though I didn’t have too many things to shop for the occasion, I included the purchases I did use to make this Disney party fantasmic!
I also gave guests the option to dress up as a Disney character or just simply wear a Disney-themed item! I found a few pieces on Amazon and dressed like Princess Jasmine, one of my favorite princesses! Plus the pieces we’re so versatile, I’ll get tons of use with the headband and the lounge set will come in handy for running errands or simply lounging around. I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving and ate a lot of yummy food! I could honestly go for some more stuffing balls and pumpkin pie 🤣 Though I love Thanksgiving, I’m super pumped that it’s officially time to get in the Christmas spirit and decorate! Getting ready for my favorite holiday is most definitely one of the many things that brings me so much joy!
Now that I’m no longer a broke college student and working full-time (while still trying to be wise about how much I spend of course, lol), I’ve been on the hunt for some cute decor for Christmas. From Target to World Market to Crate & Barrel to Anthropologie, I’m checking out all my favorite hotspots! And since today is Black Friday and Cyber Monday is happening in a few days, I thought I’d share some of the things I found so far to give y’all some decorating inspo as well. Happy shopping! ❤️️
