The Perfect Thanksgiving Dress

Hey, y’all! Thanksgiving is almost here, so now’s a good time to figure out what to wear!

Whether it’s a more cozy and comfy vibe or a more dressed up and autumnal aesthetic, you can’t go wrong with this wonderful holiday! Though I do love a cute and stretchy lounge set (especially with all the stuffing and pumpkin pie I’m gonna eat this year!), I do love a good excuse to dress up for the holiday. Fall is my favorite fashion season after all!

I’m especially loving this plaid maxi flutter-sleeve dress from Anthropologie I got earlier last month- I think it’s THE PERFECT dress for Thanksgiving and autumn overall! First off, it’s incredibly comfortable with the fit and flowiness. They were out of a regular small, so I got it in a petite medium so the bottom wouldn’t be too long for my height. I also adore the plaid pattern and sleeves, and with a woven basket I feel like Dorothy Gale from The Wizard of Oz! With shoes, you can’t go wrong with a fancy heel if you want to go more formal. Personally, I like pairing them with my Steve Madden black lug sole booties for more of a country girl kind of look. You could even pair them with Western-type boots to aim for the country style feel!

Unfortunately, this dress is no longer in stock. If it does come back and if anyone is interested, I’ll share the link! In the meantime, I linked a few similar dresses below, along with shoes and accessories similar to what I’m wearing!

Fresh For Fall: The Latest Fits

Happy Halloween, y’all!

How is it the last day of October and November is tomorrow?! Although fall is my most favorite season, I absolutely dislike how fast it goes by! Each year I’m always making double sure to savor every moment of the beautiful Ohio foliage and simpliticties, right before the Midwest winter kicks into high gear!

Because I’ve been taking extra time to savor the precious season of autumn, I haven’t had much time to create fall fashion content. Luckily today, just in time before the holidays as fall/winter styles become more shoppable, I curated all of my looks into one post. I hope and pray it inspires you if you need help with your fall/winter wardrobe! 🍂❄️

Warm Weather Fall Outfit

I wore this outfit earlier in the season when it was still warm outside in Ohio. It was actually 80 degrees when I wore it! 🥵 Even tough it wasn’t the cozy look I was hoping to aim for when photoshooting in the fields of pumpkins and mums, I thought it makes a good outfit for the warm weather days of the season, especially for those who live in warmer climates like Florida, Texas, California, etc.

The only in-stock items featured are the short-sleeve ribbed tee from Target and the black leather knot headband from the same place. Though the jeans are no longer available, its brand Mother Denim has many similar options. The same goes for the plaid mule loafer flats and Nordstrom!

Now it’s finally cooled down!

Autumn Coveralls

I got this burgundy coverall jumpsuit from Target back in early September, and it’s been a wardrobe staple for me this season. It’s great for the days when the temperature is a little warmer, and it can be dressed down with white sneakers for a coffeeshop trip or dressed up with platform military booties for more of a edgy, autumnal look!

Poncho season

Y’all know I love a good poncho for fall, and this black and white houndsooth flannel one from Old Navy is the perfect, versatile option for the season! I wore it with a white tank, black wide leg jeans, and black leather booties for a pumpkin patch outing earlier this month. It’s also a great piece to dress up with a black dress. I also have this skirt with an extremely similar pattern from Target that makes a chic matching set outfit, which I think will be great with a black long-sleeve shirt, tights, and black knee-high boots or heels for the holidays!

COWGIRL COSTUME FOR HALLOWEEN

I figured I would share my Halloween costume with y’all since today people are dressing up and going out for trick-or-treat! I actually wore this for a Western-themed photoshoot I did with my photographer friends Katie Rios (@katie_mae_photography) and Jocelyn O’Bryon (@j.o.photoco) with horses, wide open fields, and the beautiful Ohio foliage in the background. I’ve never thought of myself as a country girl, but this fit and photoshoot made me consider the possibility of wanting a farm one day! 😂🤠

The white cowgirl hat is from Amazon, the denim belted flare jumpsuit is from Forever 21, and the white cowgirl boots are by MIA!

Sunset Sophistication

Nothing like riding into August courtesy of a boat!

My family and I got back from a vacation to Michigan recently, and we had the opportunity to take a sunset ride on a boat out on the lake! For the outing, I wore this pink and orange colorblock two-piece set from Nordstrom (made by Petal & Pup) that I thought was fitting for the evening while watching the sunset and enjoying a delicious margarita. Not shown are my rhinestone sandals from DSW that I’ve been thriving in all summer, along with some classic gold jewelry and sunnies as always!

For Both The Summer & Fall Girlies

Are you a summery girly or a fall girly? I find myself in the middle. I’m very glad that we still have a good amount of summer days left, yet I’m also getting pretty hyped up about autumn not being too far away! The way I see it, fall gives me something to look forward to once summer comes to a close!

I don’t know what category you fall into, but I thought I’d share some of my favorite pieces for both seasons! This a great way to find some end of the summer deals, as well as some early inspo for the season transition! ☀️🍁

Serving Style: Outfits for Pickleball

For my pickleball girlies (or tennis, golf, or some related-activity you like to do in your spare time!), I got some style inspo if you’re looking for some fun pieces the next time you hit the court with your pickleball pals!

The set I’m wearing is from Beyond Yoga, one of my favorite activewear-focused brands! It’s the perfect summer two-piece set. It’s great for a pickleball outing or anything else related to staying active,

Modern Day Dorothy Gale

Hey, y’all! It’s Wednesday and I’m back at it with another summertime fit check!

I absolutely am obsessed with these overalls I just bought from Free People. They’re so great for the season with a short-sleeve tee or tank (like this one I’m wearing from Target!), and I feel like they will also be perfect for going into autumn in a few months with a long-sleeve tee or sweater. Finally, to finish off the ensemble, I slipped into these rhinestone sandals from DSW and my go-to gold hoops from Amazon!

My friend Colleen mentioned that the outfit was kind of giving Dorothy Gale vibes the night I took these pictures, mostly thanks to the rhinestone sandals. I love the idea of it being a modern day Dorothy Gale look, especially since the overalls gives off the perfect farmer girl aesthetic! I also think this outfit reminds me of an outfit Rachel Green wore in Season 1 of Friends. I’m just all about the vintage/nostalgic outfit inspo!

Hey, y’all! It’s that time of year again, the Nordstrom anniversary sale!

Last year’s sale had some great finds, and I honestly think that this year’s looks even better! There’s so many options to choose from, but I rounded up some of my favorites and included them in this blog post to share with y’all! Just to clarify though, I’m not buying everything I’m sharing since it would be way over my budget, as much as I would love to buy everything 😂

Happy shopping! 🛍️💛

4th of July Outfit Inspo

I don’t know how y’all feel, but I feel like summer is officially in the air! I’m usually already in summer mode once the temperature reaches above 70 degrees, yet I feel like the end of June and around July 4th is when the season really kicks off.

Speaking of July 4th, I know it’s only a few short days away but I thought I would share some last minute outfit inspiration/ideas in case anyone is still looking for a fun outfit for the holiday!

The perfect outdoor cookout/barbecue outfit, and a great one for finishing off the day with a firework show! I love Old Navy’s tank top selection as they have all the colors you can imagine, including all the red, white and blue ones! The shortalls and sandals also make a statement with the top selection, and the baseball cap adds a good patriotic touch. Of course, you can never go wrong with red lipstick and chunky gold hoops!

If you’re celebrating independence in a more formal way, this red puff-sleeve midi dress from Abercrombie is the perfect choice- and it’s on clearance now! It will match perfectly with neutral-colored wedge heels, a neutral-colored bag, and a red scarf (which can be used for hair or to wrap on the bag), and 4th of July sparkle statement earrings are never a bad idea. I also like the idea of red lipstick with this outfit, but you can also go for a neutral/clear lipstick or lip gloss to tone down on the red!

The Latest Outfits

A quick outfit round-up from my latest outfits for the spring/summer season. It’s kind of fitting since I’ve been very late on my fashion posting 😂 Linking some of the pieces that are still available to shop for below!

Farmer’s Market Fit Check

I will never outgrow my love for farmers’ markets, and I will never not want to dress up for them! I’ve been loving the style combo of a white button down blouse with high-rise shorts, along with a floppy panama hat and sandals- this also makes a perfect look for going out to brunch after a good farmers’ market trip!

Linen & Denim Combo

The terracotta linen tank top is actually part of a two-piece set I got from a local boutique called Jean + Lou last set with matching wide leg drawstring pants, but I decided to try pairing the top with these high-rise mom denim shorts from Francesca’s for a Pinterest-inspired summer look. It’s a perfect outfit for running errands or going to an outdoor cookout/barbecue! I think it looks great with big earrings and simple bracelets and rings, and it doesn’t require any necklaces. I also like pairing comfy backless sandals with this outfit- the pair I’m wearing that’s not shown are these arch support slides from Archies, a seasonal necessity!

Go-To Sundress

I LOVE this floral maxi dress from Stitch Fix, originally manufactured by Steve Madden Apparel! I would wear this dress all-year round if it was this warm and sunny out all throughout the year. It’s so comfy and chic, and it can be dressed up or down. It’s perfect for bridal/baby showers, social outings to wineries or breweries, and even running a quick errand to the grocery store or farmers’ market!

This dress is unfortunately out of stock at the moment, but here’s the link to have in case it comes back into inventory if you’re a Stitch Fix member!

Comfy Fit Check

I’m obsessed with this jumpsuit from Stitch Fix (originally manufactured by Threads 4 Thought) for layering with a simple tee and comfy shoes. When the good Lord blesses me with children one day, I’m saving this comfy piece for maternity wear thanks to the super stretchy material and coziness!

This jumpsuit is unfortunately out of stock at the moment, but here’s the link to have in case it comes back into inventory if you’re a Stitch Fix member!

Anthropologie Graphic Tee Finds

A little Anthropologie fashion show! I actually saw this midi skirt paired with the blue tank in the right pic and baseball cap on a mannequin in the window display at the store and loved the look, so I found on the pieces to create a whole outfit! I also paired the skirt with the “Dreaming Of A Slow Life” tee because I loved the color and quote (and the dainty food/drink graphics are so cute!). I ended up only buying the green tee, but would definitely consider these other pieces when they go on sale!

Anthropologie Old Money Dress Finds

I also didn’t buy either of these pieces, they were just fun to try on. I really did like the old money aesthetic look of both of these pieces- I would consider buying them when they go on sale! The one on the left reminds me of Rachel Green from Friends and the one on the right reminds me of Meredith Blake from The Parent Trap- very fitting as they’re both fashion icons of the 90s!

Spring/Summer Girls’ Night Outfit

Wore this back at the beginning of May when it was a little more mild, but I still love this outfit for the warmer summer days! I found the top through Cecily Bauchman’s Tik Tok and fell it love with how she styled it, so I ordered it for myself and have absolutely no regrets! It also is great to pair with a denim skirt (mini, midi, or maxi, any length!), colored wide leg pants, or shorts with sandals or flats for a more casual look. Finish off the ensemble with your favorite pink or nude lipstick or lip gloss and some jewelry!
