Spring Coastal Outfit for Running Errands

Wanna look cute while running errands this spring but don’t want to sacrifice your comfort? Say no more!

I’ve been hooked on the coastal style trend for a while now, which inspired me with this particular outfit idea. I recently got this black active flared onesie from Abercrombie & Fitch and I’m OBSESSED. It’s so comfy and flexible, and I feel so confident when wearing it! It’ll be great to wear by itself with sneakers (especially white!) as the weather starts getting warmer, but in the meantime I like to throw a trendy striped pullover sweater over my shoulders and leave the sleeves hanging loose. If it gets pretty chilly, you can easily throw on the sweater for extra warmth. You can also wrap the sleeves together to keep the look more sturdy yet still on-trend. You can then finish off the whole ensemble with a baseball cap and your favorite jewelry and accessories!

I wore this outfit not too long ago when I went to Trader Joe’s. It made me feel like I was on the East Coast rather than the Midwest!

Easter Elegance

Happy Almost Easter!

I absolutely love this holiday. It’s the perfect time to reflect on Jesus’ unconditional love through His sacrifice on the cross and resurrection to save humanity, including you and me! It’s very fitting with it being at the very beginning of spring as well, when new hope sprouts up like the flowers and the earth begins to become alive again. With a new beginning, it’s the perfect opportunity to showcase a fun outfit idea for the occasion!

Now that it’s starting to feel a little more like springtime here in Ohio, I’ve been flaunting this floral midi side slit skirt from Amazon so much. My favorite way to style it is with this dusty rose-colored balloon sleeve sweater from Altar’d State (an oldie but goodie!), along with these tan suede knee-high boots from Red Dress. Then, I finish off the look with a gold rhinestone cross necklace and my go-to giant gold hoop earrings. This makes the perfect transitional winter-to-spring outfit and is very fitting for the holiday, as you can wear it to church then social gatherings afterward. The skirt would also make a great spring outfit with a solid top, along with white sneakers and a jacket or cardigan layered over. That’s the beauty of versatility in styling!

I’m hoping and praying everyone has a delightful and joy-filled Easter!

How To Style a Cable Knit Sweater Dress

Hey, y’all! It’s been a while, but I’m back with more fall fashion content! 🍂

I did a photoshoot with my friends who are both photographers, Katie (katie_mae_photography) and Jocelyn (j.o.photoco), in the Peninsula area in Northeast Ohio. The fall foliage around this time of year in the state is amazing, and this year has been especially stunning. Just look at the color of the trees in the picture above, it has every color in the autumn palette!

Katie and Jocelyn are both amazing friends of mine and extremely creative photographers, and doing photoshoots with them is so fun. I was excited to make content with them involving some fall fashion inspo, mostly focused on this dark green cable knit sweater dress. What I love about this is that it’s perfect for this season, and will also make a very festive outfit for Christmastime coming up. I got it from Stitch Fix (it’s originally made from the brand Love Ellie which Stitch Fix sells!) in a size large- I normally wear a small, but I sized up for a more oversized and cozy feel. It’s very comfy and especially looks great with knee-high or high-knee boots, like this tan suede pair from Red Dress. To finish off the “fall-tastic” ensemble, I threw on this oldie but goodie neutral-colored chenille hat and woven belt to match!

I love this fall look, but the great thing about this dress is that there are so many other ways it can be styled. For instance, it can be worn with a white blouse for a more preppy and dressed up look- I’m trying this out for my Thanksgiving outfit this year! It can also be more dressed down with a comfy pair of sneakers, along with a chic baseball cap. There’s a variety of ways to style it, all that matters is that you feel comfortable and confident!

Thoughts? Let me know how you would style a cable knit sweater dress!

Falling Into Autumn

Happy fall, y’all!

I’m all about cozy weather that calls for cozy attire. I recently just ordered this camel oversized coatigan and these black pull-on cropped sweater pants from Amazon, and I’m in love with both of these items! They’re incredibly comfortable, while also still looking chic! I love pairing them with this dark brown ribbed tank top from Target (by the New Day brand, one of my favs!) and matching floppy wide-brim felt hat that I got on sale from Anthropologie a couple years ago. Then, I finished off the ensemble with these multi-color mule loafers I got from the Nordstrom anniversary sale, a (not pictured) Blair Ritchey brown crossbody bag, and some classic gold jewelry!

Best of the 'Ber Months: Fall/Winter Fashion Finds

Hey, y’all!

It’s almost officially autumn and we are now in the season of ‘ber months: September, October, November, and December! As sad as I am that summer is coming to a close and I’m not looking forward to the cold weather winter has to bring, I really love this time of year so much. I love fall and the coziness of it, as well as the beauty of the leaves and everything harvesting. Even though I don’t love Halloween too much, I do feel a sense of joy when I see cute costumes for the trick-or-treaters and loads of delicious candy in stores. And of course, once all that’s over, we have Thanksgiving and Christmas to look forward to, and there’s no better way to end the year! I feel like 2023 has already flown by, so I’m praying that these next few months slow down a bit so I can enjoy and sink it all in!

Y’all probably know by now that fall is my absolute favorite season when it comes to fashion. There’s just so many options with styling outfits since it’s not too cold or not too hot! With that being said, I rounded up a collection of some recent finds for cozy season. I hope this helps anyone who’s looking for new styles to try out this autumn!

I also created a collection of current fall favorites/finds on my Amazon storefront if y’all wanna check that out as well!

What I Liked & Bought From The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Hey, y’all! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is currently happening and better than ever before. So good, I had to share some of my favorite things I saw that are on sale for fantastic deals!

As tempting as it was to buy everything I saw and liked, I ended up only buying the Steve Madden Cassady Loafer Mules in White Multi. I’m OBSESSED with them, they’re very versatile as they will be perfect with both casual and dressy outfits. I think that these will especially be perfect for transitioning into fall, and they also make the perfect shoes for the holiday season later this year- but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves!

If you’re interested in checking out everything that’s available in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, there’s still plenty of time! The sale ends on August 6th, so you have two more weeks to shop for some goods!

Swimwear & Other Finds for The Beach & Pool

Happy Summer Solstice a few days late! ☀️

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the year. I love fall and Christmas, but I’m not at all ready to rush through the longer days spent at the pool and finishing off in the evening drinking wine on a patio, so let’s take it slowly! Got that, 2023?!

If anyone’s looking for fun pool and beach essentials including swimwear, I got you hooked up! Below I shared my favorite sunny day finds for summer 2023. Hope this helps someone’s current shopping mission! 😊

Which do you prefer: beach or pool? I personally prefer the beach, especially since the only beaches that exist in Ohio are on Lake Erie! Comment below and let me know what y’all prefer!

2023 Dresses & Jumpsuits for Wedding Season (Summer Edition)

Hello, wedding season!

Summer most definitely seems to be the time of year when most people get married! I have a LOT of weddings happening this year, especially during the sunniest and warmest season! I actually just went to a friend’s wedding last weekend (pictured above). It was an outdoor ceremony as well, and thankfully the weather turned out to be just as beautiful as the occasion itself!

Also, just for clarification, the shoes I’m wearing in the featured picture are NOT white, they’re beige! Just wanted to clear that up before getting called out for wearing white to a wedding 😂

I figured a lot of other people like myself have a bunch of weddings coming up, as well showers, bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, and other bridal festivities. Since this is the time of year to get married, I’d thought I’d share some favorite dresses and jumpsuits of mine that are perfect for different wedding dress codes!

CASUAL Wedding

Beach/DESTINATION Wedding

Semi-Formal to Formal Wedding

Cocktail Wedding

Black-Tie Wedding

Anyone have any weddings or other-related festivities this summer? Let me know and tell me what you plan on wearing if you have an idea! 😊

Spring to Summer Lookbook 2023

Can someone explain to me how it’s already almost June 21st?! Wasn’t it just March yesterday? 😂😅

The great thing about summer coming right after spring is that it’s an easier transition when it comes to fashion. Summer to fall, you have to bring out some more layers, fall to winter you have to bring out the even heavier layers and galoshes (if you live in the Midwest, you get it!), and then winter to spring you put back all the heavier clothes and take out all the warm-weather ones. But with spring to summer, you don’t really need to make a dramatic shift in your wardrobe. The only thing you really need to do is switch out the jeans for shorts or lightweight pants if where you live is getting humid! Thankfully, I’ve been keeping track of some of my favorite outfits featured in the pic above- as well as other pieces I’ve found down below- and created a lookbook out of it!

Here’s some pieces I’ve loving, some of which are included in the pic above 🤍

Tops

Bottoms

Dresses/Jumpsuits

ACTIVEWEAR

Jewelry

If you want to see more of some of my latest outfit ideas, check out both my Instagram account and my Tik Tok account- I often post more content there than on my blog these days! I just recently posted a spring to summer lookbook featuring a lot of the outfits I wore during spring, all of which are easily transitional for summer!
